Holiday Extravaganza was more like a warm fall day!

The day dawned early with pancakes! Carl Althouse had some help serving these up but they ducked out of the picture.

I was waiting for him to fling the pancakes like the Pancake Man but Carl is just a little more cautious.

The Firefighting Team of Breakfast Servers. Cooper Price, Bj Burrows, Cody Price, Tyler Rosenow, and Joe Jennings.

Kris Shrader and Cindy Hovorka were busy elves decorating cupcakes for the Candy Cane Lane event.

Cindy is a master at cupcake decorating!

I happen to know from first hand experience that the Oreo Mint Cookies are to die for.

Kabbie Mumford was on hand to wrap gifts for shoppers.

Bits and Pieces had lots of Christmas items.

This is a tree at Bits and Pieces.

Joe even went shopping with me.

Vanessa Callaway was shopping with her mom, too.

The car show lined West D Street.

The Not Too Cool for Classics Car Show and BBQ was a hit! The BBQ was awesome!

A big thanks to Blake Ulmer for opening up his garage for the BBQ and to BJ Burrows for helping to sponsor it.

Selfie with Coleman! Cross that off my list. :)

Selfie with Deb! Cross that one off, too!

The Balloon Artist made some great creations for the kids.

Kristy Burrows took pictures in the photo booth at Impulsive Works Photography. Here she is helping Johnny O fill out his stamp sheet.

Shay Campbell was hoping for a BINGO!

Janna Petersen and Adriana Baker were in charge of the Reindeer Antler Ring Toss game. They said that kids love to throw things at reindeer. Weird.

The kids enjoyed putting puzzles together, too.

The Starry Knight Parade was great! The weather was warm and the lights were bright. This is John McNaught from Elmwood Small Engine Repair & Recycling and Elmwood C Store.

Dale Kunz drove the Grand Marshals.

The Elmwood Murdock Cheer Squad pumped up the crowd.

Santa even made an appearance!

The Free Enterprise Avengers shook hands with kids.

Owen Kunz showed off his mower.

Elmwood Convenience Store

Carol Hoffman throwing candy to the kids.
There were a lot more activities that I didn't get to Saturday. What is more fun than a community coming together to have a celebration? A big thanks to the Elmwood Murdock Merchants Association for planning this and to all the sponsors. And to all the people who helped plan and carry out the activities. The effort that it takes to do this is intense. Every year it is bigger and better! Looking forward to next year!
