The Village Board of Trustees met in regular session on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Chairperson Jared Blunt called the meeting to order at 6:15pm. Blunt stated that a current copy of the Nebraska Open Meetings Act was posted.

Discussion/Action Building Permit recommendation from P & Z – 144 ½ North 4th Street
Holland made a motion to approve the recommendation from the Planning & Zoning Committee to approve the Building permit for the Elmwood meat Plant to place a reefer trailer for extra cooling space, second by Scott. RCV: Yes: Approved 4-0
Discussion/Action Amend 2021-2022 Budget
Holland made a motion to approve amending 2021-2022 budget, second by Kicak. RCV: Yes: Approved 4-0
Discussion/Action Approve 1% increase in 2021-2022 Restricted Funds Authority
Scott made a motion to approve the 1% increase in the 2021-2022 Restricted Funds Authority, second by Kicak. RCV: Yes: Approved 4-0

Reports/Boards, Commissions, and Committees
Park: The new John Deere Mower has been delivered. Moriah told the board that Christensen won’t get here until December to remove the approved trees and asked if we can pay now on the 21-22 Budget. Motion by Holland to approve paying Christensen Tree Service now for tree removal in December, second by Kicak. RCV: Yes: Approved 4-0
Street: Railroad Ave. was repoured due to the crack in the center of it. This project is completed, the signs should soon.
Water: Water tower was inspected, and the inspector told Ed that it looks great inside and no signs of rust on the inside of the tank. The tower needs to be re-painted, and Ed will contact the company to get that ball rolling. Ed took Drawdowns yesterday and today and reported that we gained a few feet but will remain to keep the water restrictions in place. 114 water meters left to upgrade.
Sewer: We received the new sewer pump which just needs to be installed when HTM is available to help with installation.
Planning/Zoning: September 19,2022 Minutes, Next meeting is October 24,2022 at 7:00pm.

Correspondence: Moriah received a wonderful email from Pink Gorilla Events Thanking the Village for their love and support in letting them host Harvest Moon Hustle in our town
