Village of Elmwood

The Village of Elmwood Board of Trustees met in regular session with Trustees Fields, Ronhovde, Clymer and Chairman Blunt presiding. All signed the "Notice of Acknowledgement of Meeting". Butch Sailors, Craig Jones, Garrett Brummer, Joe Poole, Eugenia Bornemeier, Linda Blunt, Lana Claycomb, Dan Spaulding and Becky vonRentzell were also in attendance.
Chairman Blunt declared the Open Meeting Act Posted.
Minutes from the June17, 2010 meeting were presented. Trustee Fields noted Spaulding would be repairing the drainage system, not the drain on the Northwest corner of the park. Trustee Fields also noted the Board left executive session and then approved a 4.55% raise for Clerk vonRentzell. Chairman Blunt declared the minutes approved with the above mentioned corrections.
Presentation of the May financial report. Motioned by Fields, 2nd by Clymer to approve the financial report as presented. Aye: All, Nay: None. Absent: Ernst.
Reports
Streets: Spaulding reported the 2010 Street project should start around July 12, 2010. Motioned by Clymer, 2nd by Fields to accept a sidewalk bid from Bruns Masonry. Aye: All, Nay: None. Absent: Ernst.
Park: Trustee Ronhovde inquired if the drinking fountain had been repaired. Spaulding confirmed it was repaired. No Action Taken.
Library: No Action Taken.
Water: No Action Taken.
Sewer: Hearing regarding Resolution of Necessity was opened. No comments from citizens were made. The Hearing closed at 7:20 p.m. Motioned by Fields, 2nd by Ronhovde to approve the Resolution of Necessity regarding the new WWTF. Aye: All, Nay: None. Absent: Ernst.
Community Development: No Action Taken.

New Business: Lana Claycomb with NMPP Energy gave a presentation on upgrading our computer system. No Action Taken. Chairman Blunt excused himself from Chair to speak as a non-board member. Blunt reported a backed up village sewer line in front of his house caused his basement to back up. No Action Taken. Blunt returned to Chairman.
