Village of Elmwood

The Village of Elmwood Board of Trustees met in regular session with Trustees Ronhovde, Blunt, Allgayer and Chairman Ernst presiding. Clymer was absent. All signed the "Notice of Acknowledgement of Meeting".
Chairman Ernst declared the Open Meeting Act Posted. George Fields, Eugenia Bornemeier, Diann Stille and Linda Blunt were also in attendance.
Minutes from the February 24, 2011 meeting were presented. Chairman Ernst approved the minutes as presented. Clymer entered the meeting at 7:08 p.m.
Reports
Streets: Discussion regarding street paving bonds in the amount of $300,000 to American Exchange Bank. Motioned by Allgayer, 2nd by Ronhovde to approve the repayment of $300,000. RCV: Aye: All, Nay: None. Absent: None.
Park: Motioned by Allgayer, 2nd by Blunt to authorized Ronhovde to spend $1,000.00 on tree trimming. RCV: Aye: All, Nay: None. Absent: None.
Library: No Action Taken.
Water: Spaulding picked up meter reading sheets and shut-off notices. Well #5's meter head needs to be replaced. Meter readings need to get turned into Clerk vonRentzell by 3/28/11. Spaulding received a Reporting Violation from the State. An updated emergency contact list and sample site plan should have been turned into the state by 2/28/11. Chairman Ernst and Clerk vonRentzell submitted the required information to the State.
Sewer: USDA informed the Village the have remaining grant funds available that need to get spent by closing on 3/31/11. The grant may be used for purchases relating to water or sewer. If the remaining grant is not spent the grant will be lost. Discussion of possible purchases included upgrading E Street to the WWTF, new computer for city hall, new mower, scales for the Water plant, sand blast the pipes at the Water plant and water meters. Motioned by Allgayer to spend the grant funds, 2nd by Blunt. RCV: Aye: All, Nay: None. Absent: None.

Elmwood's 125th Birthday Celebration Committee: No Action Taken.

Personnel Issues: Motioned carried regarding Lois Bornemeier to continue cleaning the park's restrooms. Spaulding received a thank you letter from Dr. Brian Hufstader. Spaulding has until 3/29/11 to appeal his license revocation from the State.
Correspondence: No Action Taken.
There being no further business, Chairman Ernst declared the meeting adjourned.
