Board of Trustees Regular Meeting – August 1, 2012
The Village of Elmwood Board of Trustees met in regular session with Trustees Wilhelm, Allgayer, Ronhovde, Clements and Vice-Chairman Allgayer presiding. Absent: Chairman Ernst. Call to order: 7:00 p.m. All signed the “Notice of Acknowledgement of Meeting”. Vice-Chairman Allgayer declared the Open Meeting Act Posted. Ed Blunt, Nicole Folden, Pat Wray, Jim Nelson, Eugenia Bornemeier, Diann Stille, Ben Kastens and Shannon Josoff were also in attendance.
Minutes from the meeting on July 18, 2012 were presented. Wilhelm motioned to approve the minutes of the July 18, 2012 meeting. 2nd by Ronhovde. RCV: Aye: All. Absent: Ernst. Motion passed to approve the July 18, 2012 meeting minutes.

Water: Motion by Clements to purchase a new fiberglass ladder for sewer plant. 2nd by Ronhovde. RCV: Aye: Wilhelm, Ronhovde, Clements, Allgayer. Nay: None. Absent: Ernst. Village Clerk was asked to have a notice for the deadline of October 1, 2012 to receive reimbursement for bottled water to be placed in the weekly newsletter.

Unfinished Business:
Liquor License Discussion: Report that Josoff’s Social Hall has been placed on the Liquor Commission’s Agenda for hearing on August 16, 2012 or August 17, 2012. No action taken.
Allgayer reported Cass County Election office states that the issue with the noon whistle cannot be placed on the ballot.
Budget Items: No action taken. Add to August 15, 2012 agenda.
New Business:
Building Permits: 200 North 4th Street – Application for Building Permit for a fence – Clements made a motion to table the issue until the next meeting in order to get some information from the owner with regard to the type of fence and possible easement issues. 2nd by Wilhelm. RCV: Aye: Ronhovde, Wilhelm, Allgayer, Clements. Nay: None. Absent: Ernst. Motion passed to table the Application for Building permit at 200 North 4th Street. Village Clerk was asked to send a letter to owners requesting them to provide information and appear at the next regular meeting on August 15, 2012.
2615-286th Street – Application for Building Permit to build a house. Motion by Ronhovde to approve building permit. 2nd by Clements. RCV: Aye: Ronhovde, Wilhelm, Allgayer, Clements. Nay: None. Absent: Ernst. Motion passed to approve the Application for Building Permit for 2615 – 286th Street.
Personnel Issues: No Action Taken.
Correspondence: Correspondence and Membership Dues Statement received from Southeast Nebraska Development District (SENDD). Motion by Ronhovde to retain membership with SENDD and approve the membership dues statement. 2nd by Clements. RCV: Aye: Ronhovde, Wilhelm, Allgayer, Clements. Nay: None. Absent: Ernst. Motion passed to retain membership with SENDD and pay dues.
There being no further business, Vice-Chairman Allgayer declared the meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
