VILLAGE OF ELMWOOD
Board of Trustees Regular Meeting – February 19, 2014
The Village of Elmwood Board of Trustees met in regular session with Trustees Allgayer, Clements, Ronhovde, and Vice-Chairman Ernst presiding; Wilhelm was absent. The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. All signed the “Notice of Acknowledgement of Meeting”. Vice-Chairman Ernst declared the “Open Meeting Act” posted. Visitors present were: Terry Galloway, Diann Stille, Pat Beckmann, Deanna Sporhase, Teresa Stubbendeck, and Ed Blunt.
Motion by Clements to approve the minutes of the February 5, 2014 Board Meeting as presented; second by Allgayer. Vote: Yes: All; No: None. Motion carried.
Streets: No Report.
Park: No Report.
Library: No Report.
Water: Work is being done to restore water service at 421 West F Street. Eight water meters ordered. Water sampling required every sixth year on schedule.
Sewer: Testing results not returned as of meeting time.
Comp/Zoning: Special Meeting February 27, 2014 for 125 North 4th Street zoning change.
Planning: No Report.
Special Events: Leprechaun Chase 10K Run March 7, 2014 at Mahoney State Park – volunteers earn funds for our village park.
Safety Committee: No Report.
To Do List: No Report.
Old Business: PayPort Point of Sale system – no action taken.
New Business: The financial audit report was presented by a representative from Almquist, Maltzahn, Galloway & Luth CPA firm. No action taken.
Presentation of Claims for Payment: Columbus Telegram 79.21, Elmwood Convenience Store $4.75, Menards-North $95.01, Menards $285.72, Midwest Farmers Coop $266.58, Nebraska Snow Equipment $40.00, Quill Corp $81.64, Midwest Labs $152.83, Verizon $68.53, Black Hills Energy $811.02, Payroll $2,175.52, HD Supply Waterworks $1,022.98. Motion by Clements to approve the claims as presented for payment; second by Ronhovde. RCV: Yes: All, No: None. Motion carried.
Personnel: Motion by Clements to proceed with Summer Help advertisement as amended, to be posted in at least three locations for three weeks as presented; second by Ronhovde. RCV: Yes: All, No: None. Motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:23 p.m.
