CASS COUNTY FAIR - Rocked the Summer Nights!

This year the Ferris Wheel was back! The kids were very excited!

The Elmwood Murdock Merchants Association had their usual booth.

They displayed the Good Neighbor awards that will be given out at the Elmwood
Extravaganza in November.

The EMMA booth displayed the new 4th of July flags for Murdock and
also each merchant was encouraged to set up a display for their business.

Drs. Bryan and Sally Hufstader of the Lifetime Wellness Center in Elmwood
offered free posture screenings.

Suzie Allgayer helped Janet McCartney, candidate for County Commissioner
District 2, fill some balloons. Andy Clements just tried to stay out of the way!

Sheriff Bill Brueggemann was on hand at the D.A.R.E. booth to greet the kids.
Everyone got a D.A.R.E. bracelet and assorted give-a-ways. Deputy Wes
Tuttle was around somewhere!

Sheriff Bill had a few tricks up his sleeve to entertain the crowds.

Sidney Brummer submitted this for the scrapbooking category.

Whitney Tiedemann submitted this drawing. If you ever have a chance
to peek in her sketch book, do it! She is an awesome artist!

This is a painting by Whitney. You can see why she got purple ribbons!

Constance Baker, daughter of Burke and Charity Baker, granddaughter
of Helen Baker, all of Elmwood made this apron.

Charlotte Miller, daughter of Loren and Kristy Miller of Elmwood made this horse cake.

Megan Hawks, daughter of Rick and Theresa Hawks, was Shopping in Style.

Valerie Miller, daughter of Loren and Kristy Miller, created this cute
Troll Fruit Loop cake.

Sidney Kunz, daughter of Kenny and Kris Kunz of Elmwood, took
top honor for the 9 year old division of the Little Tugger Tractor Pull.

Here comes the Elmwood Murdock Knights marching Band!

And there they go!

Katie Vice, daughter of EM elementary teacher, Diane Vice, represented
the Weeping Water Cheerleaders.

The Elmwood Rescue team turned out to show off their rig!

Raynee Stohlmann, daughter of Nicole Folden, showed off her
new hair color and painted face.

Sheriff Bill and Deputy Tuttle flung frisbees into the crowd.

Missy Miller, daughter of Loren and Kristy Miller, waits patiently for her turn at the rodeo.

Kate Zakaras, daughter of Kim and Steve Cawley, Elmwood, created this presentation.

Veronica Lawrence, daughter of Mac and Chris Lawrence, Weeping Water, granddaughter of Lou and
Suzie Allgayer, Elmwood, sold raffle tickets for a quilt.

Deb Merchant displays the products from Sign and Screen Shop in Elmwood.

AJ Nichols gets a temporary tattoo.

Suzie Allgayer is dressed for a night at the County Fair!

Funny, the Flying Wheels wasn't represented at the County Fair this year
but it is still remembered! Look for something next year!

The Zipper is one of the most popular attractions. Besides the
Ferris Wheel that is!
The Recycle Trailer is Still in Elmwood this Week!

Murdock has opted to not have the recycle trailer anymore so Elmwood has
gained an extra week. Lucky for us because it is used a lot! So keep saving your
recyclables...especially the cardboard...we get paid for that so let's collect as much
as we can!
