Today marks three years since we last saw Dillon, Tyler, and AJ in person.  Even though we can't see them in the flesh there are signs of them everywhere.  When I see the kids running the local streets for track practice I think of Dillon.  When I see Cole and Tommy I think of Tyler.  They look so much alike.  When I hear a girl laughing at the gas station when I'm paying for my gas I think of AJ.  When I see a funny green hat I picture Dillon at the St. Patrick's Day Skate/Dance.  I can still hear AJ talking about joining the service.  I see Tyler's shy smile as he is surrounded by the girls in his class.  Everywhere I go I see the emblem on the back window of our cars reminding us about Dillon, Tyler, and AJ.  But they really aren't needed.  We will never forget them.  The memories they brought us will keep them forever in our hearts.  Even though the unrealized dreams for them and for their families break our hearts we have to celebrate the memories.  Their classmates cherish the memories and keep them alive even as they still try to understand "Why?"  A song was written and recorded recently by two friends for this anniversary.  If you search youtube you will find this and several other tributes that have been posted over the years.

Not a day goes by that we don't think of Dillon, Tyler, and AJ.  But especially today we will say an extra prayer for them and for their families.  Until we meet again we will keep you alive in our hearts and we will live our lives to make you proud.
