Lots of activities for the family, a great parade, hobnobbing with your friends and neighbors, and a really cool fireworks display! If you are new to town this is a good opportunity to see what Murdock and Elmwood are all about. We are two towns connected by our history. Come out and have some fun!!

Nebraska Tourism Commission is looking for photos from the past!
Attention all Nebraska attractions! The Nebraska Tourism Commission is seeking black and white photos from the past that we can compile into the history of tourism and use as a throwback for our facebook page!
The photos should be black and white and must reflect the true spirit of Nebraska’s culture, history, heritage and way of life. Please provide who is in the photos along with a brief story to describe the history behind the photo.
Please submit clear, good quality photographs to Taylor Cruse by July 1, 2014. You can e-mail them to

The Third place EM South Wee Wee team finished third in a 17 team league, and had a great season. They posted a 9-2 regular season record, 4-2 Cass Co. tourney record, and a 13-4 overall record.
Welcome to all our new subscribers to the Elmwood Newsletter!! I saved this for the end to see if you scroll all the way through. I'm so glad to see so many new subscribers joining our little club. I'm always looking for new stories and events to post. I can't be everywhere at once so I rely on all of you to keep me posted on what's happening and to send me pictures and a story about your event. I love to get out and attend as much as I can but I have lots going on in my life so I don't always get to. Please feel free to email me at editor@elmwoodnebraska.com with any stories or events. If you have pictures that is a plus! If you have a flyer I can use that is like gravy on my potatoes! It is super great if the file is a jpg format but I can work with others, too.
