Images of Holiday Extravaganza
It was great to see everyone enjoying all the activities this year.
The Santa in the gazebo was very popular and the lights in the park are such a nice holiday addition.
Gourmet Coffee was a welcome addition on a chilly evening.
Since I had a table at the Craft Show I didn't get out and get photos of all the events.
Please email yours to editor@elmwoodnebraska.com for it to be included in the next couple of weeks.
The Living Nativity, hosted at Mark and Sondra Buell's homestead, is now open!
Notice that there are a couple of options to choose from this year:
In-the-barn experience: up close to the animals
Drive-through-the-homestead where you stay in your car and listen to a podcast as you see each animal pen,
Schedule a weekday private event for your family, friends, or group.
Let us know if you have any questions.
All for Christ,
Mark and Sondra Buell

Village Board Meeting
Official agendas are posted the day before at the Post Office, Gas Station, and Village Office. Prior to the posting of the agenda, meeting items can be added to the meeting. At the end of each meeting is a Public Comment Section. Attendees have three minutes to speak about anything at this time. Further discussion on the topic can then be added to the next board meeting.
STORY WALK AT THE PARK!
The Elmwood Public Library has installed a Story Walk at the park! Not familiar with this? It’s a children’s book fastened onto yard signs and spread out over a large outdoor area. Families and friends walk the course and read the book together. The book chosen for this walk is, “The Gruffalo.” It follows the story of a little mouse who encounters several not-so-scary creatures during his adventure through the forest.
“I’ve heard of these projects before and thought it would be a great way to combine outdoor fun and literacy in a safe and socially distant manner,” said Library Director Anne Pope. “My hope is to leave it up through the Holiday Extravaganza on November 27. After that, maybe we can do a different book in the spring at a different location!”
