Last week we had nine vendors that had a variety of products from eggs, honey to even fudge.
No need to buy potatoes or eggs in the grocery store when you can get them fresh from the farm. Not only that, but you are supporting someone in our community. Maybe they are using the funds to save for a pageant program, a trip, or even just gas. The money stays local.

The term egg money used originated when farm wives took care of the chickens on the farm. She got to keep that money to use as she wished. It didn't go to pay for regular bills, but for that something extra, maybe a night out with her husband. Or lunch with the ladies. Egg money counts. Egg money makes a difference.

The same can be said of honey. The Bee Bum is from Adams Nebraska and she comes every week with all kinds of flavored honey, creamed honey, lip balm and honey-baked cookies.

Don't forget the Tea Toad, which is my little tea business. Get a glass of Iced Tea, and pick up cold brew kits to make it at home.

Village Board Meeting
Board meetings are open to the public and are held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.
The meetings are held at the new Village Board office located at the Learning Center on the south side of town.
Official agendas are posted the day before at the Post Office, Gas Station, and Village Office. Prior to the posting of the agenda, meeting items can be added to the meeting. At the end of each meeting is a Public Comment Section. Attendees have three minutes to speak about anything at this time. Further discussion on the topic can then be added to the next board meeting.
The agenda is posted at the Elmwood C-Store, the post office, and the Village office.
Minutes can be viewed at the Village office or can be found online.

Wouldn't it be amazing if the board meetings were FULL every time? This is your opportunity to be involved, be "in the know" and learn how to influence how your community grows, how improvements can be made, and how you can participate in the steps needed to MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Dear Avoca friends near and far!
The Avoca Town Hall has been a big part of the Village for many years. Without it many people would be at a loss on where to gather for village events and many other occasions.
The last couple of years have been a struggle due to covid cancellations, funds are short. The Hall is in major need of repairs. Board members are working on raising money to help cover the cost of repairs that need to be made.
1. New Roof
2. Masonry work on the front of the building
3. Replacement of Deck
4. General Maintenance.
If you would like to help in our efforts to save the Town Hall we
would very much appreciate any monetary donation towards our goal of
$25,000.
