EM Student Participates in FCCLA “A Day In Your Future”
Elmwood-Murdock High School junior Harrison Koehn was selected to participate in the FCCLA program A Day In Your Future. On February 9, he attended a job shadow at Clark & Enerson architectural design firm in Lincoln. Harrison met with three architects and two student interns to see what they do at the firm and ask them questions. He learned about the day-to-day job of an architect and got to see some of their best work. Harrison has the opportunity to ask what he could do now to better prepare me to enter a college architecture program.
Harrison will be recognized at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference in Lincoln on April 7-9 for participating in this program.

Presidential Storytime!
Last Thursday, Kami Voboril and Linda Rotschafer of the Deborah Avery D.A.R. Chapter out of Lincoln came down to be special story tellers at the library. They helped the kids celebrate Presidents Day with books about George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and others.
The ladies also brought craft supplies to help us make and decorate our own tricorn hats!
In addition to spending some quality time with the kids, the chapter also made a generous donation of brand new books that were on the library's wish list!
The Elmwood Public Library wants to sincerely thank Kami and Linda for their time, work and generosity. A great time was had by all!

ATTENTION Change as of 2023
Elmwood Village Board Meetings are ONCE a month on the FIRST Wednesday of every month.
The meetings are held at the new Village Board office located at the Learning Center on the south side of town.
Official agendas are posted the day before at the Post Office, Gas Station, and Village Office. Prior to the posting of the agenda, meeting items can be added to the meeting. At the end of each meeting is a Public Comment Section. Attendees have three minutes to speak about anything at this time. Further discussion on the topic can then be added to the next board meeting.
The agenda is posted at the Elmwood C-Store, the post office, and the Village office.
Minutes can be viewed at the Village office or can be found online.
Wouldn't it be amazing if the board meetings were FULL every time? This is your opportunity to be involved, be "in the know" and learn how to influence how your community grows, how improvements can be made, and how you can participate in the steps needed to MAKE IT HAPPEN.
