The “One Book One Nebraska” this year is the WWII drama, “The Long March Home.”
This story is about three childhood friends from Alabama who find themselves serving in the Philippines in 1941 and subsequently trying to survive the Bataan Death March. The story was co-written by Nebraska author Tosca Lee.
Ms. Lee visited our library book club on Monday January 27. She discussed the book, her research about the Pacific Theater and her overall writing process. Those in attendance were fascinated by what she had to share and a good time was had by all!

Happy February!
I happened to get a sneak peak of the Children's Literature exhibit, and it is FANTASTIC!! My youngest daughter tried out several interactive exhibits with our exhibit chair, Randeen VanDyne, and she agrees that kids of any age will love experiencing the beauty of our world through books (and snuggling in a tent)!!
Stay warm!
